OMG that is my dream plane. All they need are some automatic shotguns for shooting coyotes and hogs down south. $1000.00 per hour to maintain. No problem

Lets deploy that to the southern border!

IMO this is whole lot more badass. Already deployed to the western border. And I imagine it feels better to attack fires rather than humans.

Cool airplane, but a horrible ISR platform. I'll never have any idea why that beast was selected for the armed overwatch mission.

I always thought the 802 would be a good airplane for hauling fuel out to the villages in Alaska and Canada.

Everts was doing exactly that when I flew there in 2014 and it looks like they still are. https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/10870023

Maybe Larry the Lurker will finally pop up here and tell us all about it…

Last summer when I was flying in Alaska, AK06 to Kantishna, there was an outfit flying fuel in to Kantishna 5Z5. Dromaders with Garrets. That plane looked huge on the 1800' runway, looked like he was taxiing and then he lifted off. I had heard that the cost to fly in fuel by the ag planes was about half of other methods. 500 gallons a shot IIRC.

Pretty much so. Hopper holds 600 but crews kept it limited to 500 on those runs due to local conditions. With 60 air miles en route, the fuel price worked out to about $15/ gallon delivered, instead of $25/ gallon by A-Star. Great outfit to work with. Highly recommend them.

When working in Colombia on the Department of State eradication effort they had quite a few AT-802's and at least 1 OV-10 Bronco that were up-armored for spraying coca fields. Those planes and pilots were damned impressive.
