A Public Thanks to a Great Guy

I'd like to go on record and publicly thank Shortfielder for loaning me his personal copy of "A Guide to Bush Flying." We've never met or talked on the phone but he was gracious enough to loan a very valuable and nearly un-replacable book to a complete stranger over 2,000 miles away. He has his book back in hand and that's a relief, probably to both of us!

America, where neighbors help neighbors, even long distance ones they've never met.

Thanks again Gary,

Frank

Read the part about the differences in landing a tail wheel airplane as opposed to a tricycle gear aircraft, that’s when I set it down. #-o :? Or did I miss something?

Re: A Public Thanks to a Great Guy

There are a lot of great folks on this site. When I bought my plane in Rhoad Island, there were a couple dozen that offered to house me for my trip home. I was able to mooch my way back to Nor Cal. I only bought four meals and no motel rooms.

I may clash with a few folks on this site but I cannot think of anybody that I would not invite into my home. I guess we can thank Z for keeping us from killing each other. :D
