Re: A Video I worked on to raise awareness

Nice job on the video Mark.

You are a good man to include all three individuals in this tragedy.

As the important message regarding the 406GPS scrolls a little fast, is there any way you can slow it or just have it stationary?

Best...................Rob

Re: A Video I worked on to raise awareness

I've been following your discussions here from afar, thankyou for having the courage to make this tribute and to put it up here, seeing your daughter and friends faces and smiles brings the tragedy to a personal level of understanding. It has amplified the message you are so passionate about, as a new pilot your story has impacted on the way I conduct myself in aviation.
Kindest regards
John

Maybe Zane or Matt can post this on the BCP Facebook page? Then it can be "Shared" to many more and greater audience, too?

Re: A Video I worked on to raise awareness

Mark, there is so much good stuff there that it might be worth having a more professional video person redo it, reorganizing it somewhat. I'm not trying to be unnecessarily critical, but it it's going to have impact, it has to grab attention from the beginning, and keep it throughout. I think what you have is a great start, but a good editor could make it much more impactful--and I think that's what you're shooting for.

Hang in there. A lot of us have prayed and will pray for you and your family.

In a similar vein to Cary, a tribute is one thing, raising safety awareness is (possibly) another thing. It strikes me that what you have here is a beautiful, personal and compelling tribute. The video from a few years ago by the father who lost his son in a float plane mishap had more impact on me personally as a safety-awareness message. Overall it focused more on analysis of what went wrong and how to have a better outcome. Just trying to be helpful. I respect what you're trying to do, and I continue to ache over your loss.

I have a friend down in LA that might be willing to help. He is a professional and in the Hollywood scene. Great guy and also into aviation. I'm sure he can even help get the video into mainstream. Here's his website: tylerkirkfilms.com Tell him Pat the ex-Yamaha truck driver referred you.

Also, how about Adventures on the Fly? Allen?? Maybe even make an episode?

One more option, my friend David Bertinelli has made a lot of high quality videos for the Yamaha Road Race team the last few years. He may even be able to help out.

So there's a few options I can think of.

Re: A Video I worked on to raise awareness

Thank you for your ideas. I have contacted tyler kirk and I am awaiting his reply. David Bertinelli is my next option. There has to be a better way to search for downed aviator and I will not stop until we can help others and bring them home....CAP cannot be the only option....Thanks everyone on here for helping this old man try and make a difference, I think Shy would be proud..Mark
