Well we left the hotel nice and early this morning, checked the plane over real good, and found that about 8 gallons of fuel had evaporated out of the vent turn e over night. So I decided we would top up in Williams lake, and we got in the plane. Hit the starter, nothing. Hmmm. Melissa, the other pilot I was with was going to learn how prop starting works. So I get out and start swinging. Swing it through a few times before making sire she had the mags on, nope. Awesome. So, start swinging again, qqith the mags now on, but couldn't even get so much as a sputter out of the old 150. But as luck would have it, I noticed a car with a battery charger hooked up to it down I'm front of the flying club. Pushed down and hooked up for 5 minutes and she fired just dandy after that. The runway at 100 mile house isnt really short, but a heavily loaded 150 with no working flaps used up a fair bit of it. So on to Williams lake for fuel. What a beautiful airport they have there.

After Williams lake we continued north up to Prince George. I was quite surprised at how big the airport there is. 11000 foot runway is an awful lot for a Cessna 150. A lot of planes landed and took after during our 15 minute stop there, bit the coolest was this Puralator corsair(or that's what I think it is)

After Prince I had planned on going north almost as far as Tumbler Ridge and then east through the Monkman pass. I was however pleasantly surprised when we got up to 9500 feet that we would be able to turn east much sooner. We also had a great tail wind that had our GS showing 105KNs. Not bad for a 150. Over the mountains was very pretty.

This ridge had me wishing I had my citabria with skis, would be awesome to land on.

All in all it was a great flight. Learned a couple things, taught a few things. And I'd have to say, if you have the chance to fly the Fraser river valley you should. It is truly beautiful. Highly recommended.
Home now.
Thanks for watching.

P.S. Troy, I wish I could write like you. It has never been a strong suit of mine. Reading along in your TR is riveting and keeps me waiting for the next chapter. So thank you for sharing with us.
