ADS-B and Canadian airspace
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
This is not new news. On another ADS-B thread I had mentioned that Canada was planning on going satellite based. I like this idea because it will work pretty much everywhere, unlike ground based systems that require altitude is certain spots. What I do wonder is, will my satellite receiver pick up ground systems? Or will I need a receiver for Canada and one for when I fly in the US? Why can't everyone just get on the same page??

I am pretty sure the Canadian system is 1090 vs 978 and will not depend on ground stations, satellite only.
My bet is the Canadians will not have a system up and running by the 2020 mandate and maybe longer. The rule making process takes time.

Satellite would make way more sense. Would make the land based gear go the way of Loran
