For those of you who like to organize things. Our local lake community has 4th of July activities that usually includes a boat parade. Last year we held the first annual airplane parade along with the boat parade. A few local pilots took off and paraded a few laps around the lake much to delight of the residents and vacationers. We plan to do the same this year, it isn't quite as difficult to put together as a fly in and lots of people enjoy it. Obviously it isn't as exciting as an airshow but people seem to like seeing airplanes!

Sounds like fun, Dan. I have other plans this fourth - maybe next year I'll come out and parade too.
