Aktahoe's Alaska Heli Ski Thread

Have been getting emails from folks wondering if I have my plane here. I do not at this time. Hoping for a weather window that I can get it up here but, I can tell you, having 3 helicopters sure does help with my flying obsession.

Anyhow, we have been off to a great start up here. The winner from this past year's Johnson Creek fly in Raffle is in house now. You could say he has gotten it real good...

I will try to keep this updated with some cool helicopter / flying photos throughout our 12 weeks here.

Enjoy...

Re: Aktahoe's Alaska Heli Ski Thread

I got a bad hard-on for heli skiing. I need to cross this off my bucket list before I'm too old and feeble to enjoy it the way God intended. Youth is wasted on the young. I hope to get a trip in in the next few years, but prolly not this season unless I can get lucky at one of your raffles. Keep 'em coming while I save my pennies!

Kev, Most sincere condolences for CC.... we are all pretty shooken up here only 60 miles away, in our backyard, the very slopes we've shredded in year's pass. Thoughts and prayers will be with CC's friends and family, J-M

Re: Aktahoe's Alaska Heli Ski Thread

I will heli ski one day, I've skied some gnarly stuff in the lower 48 but I still need to make it up to AK!! Heli ski pilot is my dream job I would love to do it! Those guys are in a whole different class of crazy than most other guys, some of those drops at the peaks are ridiculous.
