Re: Aktahoe's Alaska Heli Ski Thread

Just an update here as conditions up here have been all time. Even the northern lights have been good.

The JC BCP heli trip winner was here last week and I am certain had a good time. I wonder who is going to win next years trip?? :?:

I just updated my blog with a lot of new photos if your interested. Check it out...

Hey Soy, last ditch effort here for you ......101.5FM here in Truckee.......... IN.... co-operation with Points North Heli Adventures. Is qualifying 200 people to win a Full week for two ... Eating , skiing pow till you can't.,,, ect ect... You must listen and pray and call when they tell you to . Or you can go to Truckee and drop your name in the big black box to be drawn . May the force be with you . ....You better hurry , the trip being raffled is coming up real soon . :D

Re: Aktahoe's Alaska Heli Ski Thread

Jeez, that looks like fun flying. I was out in the same area as the CPG guys on Thursday, up at the ~5000' level. Needless to say, the A-star had the advantage...

Any of your pilots use high contrast visors on flat-light or white-on-white days?

Any guys that fly helo-ski ops on this forum?

Re: Aktahoe's Alaska Heli Ski Thread

Had a huge high pressure this past week. Currently in the middle of a big storm now with over 3 feet of new snow falling in the mountains. Here are a couple cool helicopter shots from the week.

Flying out from base...

First you land...

And then the heli flies away...

And then you drop in...

and then look back up to see your tracks...

Aircraft parks on top of a peak and waits
