When I read the story I couldn't help but think about hunting wolves in Alaska by airplane. [-X There have been more than a few boy/girl killing sprees across American history. It remains to be seen whether this young woman was a accomplice or a hostage. I imagine they were drug tested. If she tests dirty I suspect the former. Still, her family came up with her defense before the ink was dry on the news article. Handy.

Waited a while to see if he surfaced. If not a registered BCP he should be. Demar has been flying Eastern Nevada for a long while.
There are several guys like that, some on this forum. I can't remember if it was Demar or someone else but this guy bought a J3 and taught himself to fly. At east 3 years later he got a CFI that I know to help him fill in the blanks and get a PPL. I remember it was a saying that a J3 or a Champ (or fill in the blank) could fly better alone than with a student pilot.

Could be by now. When he dropped in here last he had a 180.
Another rancher in central Nevada restored a Korean War Bell 47 about 30-40 years ago. I recently saw an article about him and he still uses it.
I'm a full time rancher and when things got tough, I had to sell off some things including my Citabria 7GCBC. Now trying to justify getting another plane.
If this heatwave means another drought, well that plan has to wait longer.
