Location: brand new hangar of Matt Williams at 35245 Rueppell Avenue. The hangar is by the Dept. of Aviation information boards on the west side of the airport. Please bring a chair for lunch. Parking is limited on Rueppell Avenue. Consider carpooling and parking in the parking lots at the Bible Church or Pete Anderson Realty building on Brooten Road.

This interactive presentation uses original photos and videos and focuses on flying in confined areas, finding and using lift, avoiding downdrafts and turbulence, convergence and venturi effects, planning for en route, approach, and departure in the backcountry environment, and more.

Great turnout for Amy. Yummy food. 60 people showed up. The weather was MVFR. This is the only time I have listened to her. She is very good.

Sorry I missed it.

Ceilings in Puget Sound were not kind for long flights. Could never know when MVFR was going to hard IFR between low clouds and smoke.

+1 on Amy Hoover. I am lucky enough to have taken some instruction from her and she has an encyclopedic knowledge of the Idaho back country.

Amy is very gracious, I did contribute a bit to the book. But she and Dick have put together what in my opinion will be the new standard in mountain and canyon flying books.
