Awesome. Good to hear. Planning on 31s in the spring as a welcome back to the air gift for myself. :)

Hey CG

How do you know when to re-coat..... or do you just do it every year regardless?

I just go by how they look, you can tell when they are down to the original rubber.

Re: Another coat of bedliner on the Airstreaks

With a lot of help from courierguy, we are now using bedliner on our tires.
Our ramp is like sandpaper and runway a cheesegrater, so with luck this will save our tires.

With 3 sets of tires to do, I needed some easy way to do this. A piece of rod along the sawhorses was proving
very difficult, so my husband came up with an idea using a little used engine stand. I found a set of axles from our previous 150
and we created a rolling fixture to coat and store our extra set of tires.

I can now do one tire or two at a time, and move the fixture as needed.

As I mentioned, there seems to be a huge difference in how cheese gratish a ramp can be! Mackay Id is the worst, but I go there anyway as when you land long to the north, especially on the gravel along side the runway, you are a 3 minute walk from Sammy's gas station(pure mogas no less, and at great prices)/snack bar/liqueur store/ restaurant. It's not the runway, but the parking area, you've been warned. I never use the parking area/tie down spot, when parked clear to the north, off to the west side, you are outa the way, no problem to park there for an hour or so, been doing it for decades.
