Anyone interested in a Gravelley Valley campout shoot 'em up

It's a nice green spring brewing, ought to be pretty up there.

Was just thinking it was time to set a date to camp out up there. No shooting at Gravelly but there's a strip not that far where we can play.

Yeah, but that's in CA, so most of the guns I own (the fun ones) are felonious as soon as they cross the border. Threaded barrels, suppressors, machine guns, high-cap mags, "evil" features on one's AR. Maybe the fly and shoot-in should be in the land of the free (that'd be NV for short) :D

I'm game.... 17th thru 20th this month isn't doable though.

What do you mean no guns at Gravelly? I'll have mine if I show up! Never leave home without 'em...

Well there's a shooting range at the end of the strip or at least there was last time I was up there (last year)

I've got trouble, I think I might have busted my toe kicking the hangar door trying to get the roller back on the track. Okay, I'm walking so obviously it's not busted but man it hurts like the dickens!!

I'll be there some time Saturday morning, camping overnight with my son.

Text AvidFlyer this morning and he said he was still planning on coming but later in the day.

As of know weather doesn't look cooperative for me to get down there. If the forecast changes I will load up and head down.

Re: Anyone interested in a Gravelley Valley campout shoot 'e

My plan is to head up Sat afternoon and set up camp. Plan on some flying Sat evening in the local area. Sunday morning I plan on playing a little bit between Lake Pillsbury (The lake the strip is on) and Willows KWLW. Nancy's at Willows has great food. From there it's a straight shot home for me down I-5/505. I need to be home by noonish on Sunday for another commitment so planning a fairly early start on Sunday morning. For those that have never been into Gravelly and are questioning coming feel free to PM me and I'll give you my take on it. I haven't been up there yet this season but last year it was very straightforward getting in and out. There's some neat stuff to explore within minutes of camp and last year we saw a boatload of Elk. Planning on setting up camp down on the far end of the strip adjacent to the lake on the tree line. There is a firepit there and some flat areas in the trees for tents.
