Anyone running ios 7 on older iPad with success?

Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.

I'd suggest holding off on iOS8 for a while on your must-work devices. Apple just shipped and then quickly took down an 8.01 update which fixed some issues but introduced some other, even more serious problems...

Always a reasonable plan. I was having occasional lock-ups of foreflight prior to upgrading. I've upgraded IOS and Foreflight and still have some of them. If your foreflight works, I'd definitely suggest waiting a bit for things to shake out on both sides.
