Proud new Papa!!

My daughter Tessa Lynn was born on Friday at 6:50 am, in McCall. Would you believe we drove to the hospital in 4" of snow? 7lbs, 20", and very healthy.

The whole family is doing great, if not suffering a bit from lack of sleep.

John,

Congrats ! Get used to the lack of sleep, as a father of two girls I can tell you, it'll only last for around 21 years or so... ;-)

My son and I have done a lot of stuff together over the years but he knows his sisters have dad wrapped around their little finger(s).

I wouldn't trade it for anything...

Mark

The Good Lord does not deduct those days from our alloted quota, spent fishing, flying or with our Grandchildren.......

Congratulations, John! You have been blessed. Enjoy these days.

Lots of BCPers spawning lately. It must have been that beautiful fall weather we had last year. :)

Congrats John.

Only 7 lbs eh? By the time you add in the car seat, the stroller, the Gerry Carrier, some food, toys and clothes, babies start looking like a full sized FAA passenger. You are gonna have to siphon out some gas now. :D

Congrats Low, and don't forget to take embarrassing numbers of pictures.

Thanks guys. She's truly amazing, I'm fascinated by her.

Last night was the first night so far I've slept more than an hour straight, so I guess we're getting better....

You don't want to hear this, but usually the first couple of weeks is usually easy sleep wise. It takes them that long to gather their strength or it's God's way of getting you used to them before the noise really kicks in  Either way it's worth it. Sort of has a tendency to put things into perspective.

I am the father of two, Ian 12 and Kate 16. Infancy is designed to endear you to them and make the lifetime bond before they become teenagers. It ensures their survival rate to a certain degree! Actually, I love everything about them and remember the days you're living very well.
Enjoy, she's beautiful!

Congratulations John and to your wife.
Beautiful baby.
Savor every moment as there is nothing better in life than having children.

I have grandsons now and cherish every moment I have with them.

Bill

Oh and if you enjoy the challenge of a short strip and howling crosswind you will be just fine raising kids.

Congrats!! She is a beautiful little girl. We had our first, a boy we named Adam, 10 months ago. I just got done playing with him for about an hour before feeding him and putting him to bed. Since I'm gone quite a bit for work, I treasure every moment with him. Unfortunately, it's true what was said about the first few weeks being easy. Hold on. I've actually been lucky. Adam has been a really good baby. Kind of makes me scared to have another one. He's been such a mellow, happy baby. In fact, we just got back from 2 weeks in Ireland and Italy with him. He was an angel.

Now my goal is to have him walking and ready for the Father's Day fly-in at Smiley Creek.

Again, congrats and enjoy!

Re: Baby Low&Slow

Thought I'd revive an old thread. I don't post here very often as I'm not flying for a living anymore, but I check in on a regular basis. Baby Low&Slows baby sister was born yesterday at 10:21pm. What an amazing experience to relive again, the first one is now 2 1/2 and will be a fantastic big sister.

All the best!

Re: Baby Low&Slow

Congrats John. It was fun to see this post again. We too had another baby last November. A baby girl. She's made it to Johnson Creek twice and Caveman once.

Hope mom and baby are well.
