BCP CTAF (currently disabled)

I'm experimenting with a new chat feature for those who like to converse in realtime. It will be on and off for the next week or so while I work out some configuration and bug stuff.

If you see the bar at the bottom of the screen, feel free to play with it. If you don't see it, I probably have it turned off but it will return soon.

If you want to join in a chat room, click on the "chat rooms" icon which is just to the right of the online users list. Then join "BCP CTAF"

Thanks!

Re: BCP CTAF (chat)

This is great. I really missed it when it went away. Glad it is back.

Cheers...Rob

Re: BCP CTAF (chat)

Running chat seems to have been putting a pretty high load on our server because of the high rate of requests when many users are logged in. I've disabled it for now, but will put it on a separate server and reenable in a few days.

Thanks for helping test!

Doesn't seem as user friendly as my desk top. Lazy. I don't know. :?

Haha. Valid points. I only get on with tapatalk nowadays, so as much as I'd like to participate with this one, it's not in the card right now.

Thanks though Zane!

Re: BCP CTAF (currently disabled)

I didn't sign up to be on the chat, but I kept getting beeped at and/or getting a pop-up window (I think) every time someone posted a chat.
Got three or four from motoadve in the space of about a minute.
Maybe it'll eat up less bandwidth on your server if only those who are interested in participating get a pop-up.

Been so long since anyone wanted to be my friend that I guess I forgot what it's like. #-o
