Well, we didn't win any hats, but BCP was well represented in the POTW gallery again this week.

It has been a pretty surreal week. Thanks to Zane posting my little Montana video on BCP's Facebook page, it got picked up by General Aviation News and then by Flying Magazine. They stuck it in their newsletter and put it on their home page. The crazy result has been more than 26,000 views worldwide in about 4 days.

This only proves that even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. My slapped-together videos aren't even in the same category with the talent and production values guys like Zane, MountainMatt, and Swingle are bringing to the table. I am, however, terribly proud that this random video has exposed a few more people to the joy of backcountry flying with friends. Reading comments in all different languages from people all over the world damn sure makes me feel lucky to get to enjoy the kind of flying we all get to do!

Between Coyote Ugly's mountaintop landing being the #1 most e-mailed video of all time on Flying Magazine's webpage, and this Montana video showing up in Flying's top 5 most popular at least for these few days, the BCP crew is enjoying a little time in the sun!

Thanks again, Zane, for giving us this virtual campfire to sit around together and enjoy friendships and experiences like these. Without BCP, a lot of us would all still be strangers. =D>

Not as lofty as Pic of the Week, but I did get in on the Short Final last Monday (6/16). Got me a hat anyways! I need to remember to submit pics!

Thanks! That was one of my first trips to the river this season, spring is a great time for playing on the bars, the river is just receding leaving new water compacted bars to explore.

Looks like we got a couple this week.

Vick, recognize these airplanes? Taken at Dearwater International, up in Sierraville, we ran into Vick just by chance. Worthy spot for breakfast or lunch.

A few more runnners-up in the POTW contest this week. I might have missed a couple that could be from guys here, but I didn't recognize their names. Here are the two I know are ours:

Kevin Quinn out on the rocks - I expect there will be several winners from the shots at HSF this year too:

I shot this one of the "wind sock" at Dirty Devil. It might be time to replace it:
