BCP map

Hey Zzzz. Just wondering if there is still a map showing where other users are located? If there is, how does one go about putting a marker on it so others know where I am?
Thanks
David

BCP map

I had a map in Community when the new site launched that was automatically populated with your location based on your profile, but it was causing a bug so I had to deactivate it. There's a Google map in your profile that shows the locations of your friends, but I think a membership-wide map is a cool feature.

Re: BCP map

That must have been the map I was thinking about Zzz. Didn't realize it had been deactivated. It would be cool to have a membership wide map that would allow whoever wants to be up on it to be there.

I went to the link 58Skylane provided, signed in to my Google account, clicked edit and then clicked on the blue teardrop and the map went crazy. It started scrolling and I couldn't stop it. I tried several times and then gave up. It is a cool idea though...

Yeah, don't bother. I won't support that map as an official solution for a member map due to the complications of updating it. I can only support solutions that use the member profile data stored here.

Update your profiles with a good location, e.g. "Portland, OR" to make good data for a mapping solution. I'll add the map feature to a long list. The one Askinner is thinking of was working when we launched, but I had to disable it to solve a bug.
