Beach Ramp
Information and discussion about seaplanes, float planes, and water operations.
Looking for ideas/recommendations for a simple ramp system that I can winch our 185 amphib up tail-first. Ideally a roll-up material, 2' wide and I'll need 2 sets about 60' long. Trying to avoid wood due to its obvious buoyancy. I know the military uses a material when they conduct amphibious ops, but I don't know what the material is or a source. I had purchased an awesome P2 rail system, however, my lake is too shallow to use it.

I'm not sure what a P2 rail systems is or looks like. I've always like the idea of a simple marine railway setup that allows a airplane to be winched on shore well above the waterline.

Used rubber conveyor belt would be my choice. We use it on the beach for temporary boat ramp.
