It is Fish Lake. Hot springs. Fish. Goats. Easy in and out. But pretty.

But Hiroad's viddy is better. Can smell the pine scent knocked off the needles on the way in.

The video quality is not great as it was shot on my iPhone looking through the windscreen. Unfortunately, the sun glare detracts from the picture, but you can tell what's going on. I had a good buddy orbiting overhead, and you can hear some of our conversation starting after I land.

No sound in the video except a short section of dialogue over the radio/intercom about half way through to the end.

Click 720p for decent quality.......



Now that is one very ballsy approach and landing into a tight area. Very well executed =D> I'm going put that into my favorites.

Just watching the set up for that landing had my toes curled. The stunted, windblown trees on that ridge tell me the prevalent wind direction, and had it been blowing there would have been a nasty rotor on that side. My hang gliding perspective.

Z, you answered your own question before you asked it! Everybody knows the best approaches are only possible solo. Some think this is because aircraft perform better when light, but the experienced know that no sane person would ride right, or back seat into the "best" approaches :lol:
