Re: Boeing buys Foreflight

My wife worked for Jepp for 5 yrs after she quit driving for the airlines. The only thing Boeing worried about there was the budget. Are you making money? Where are you spending money? They could have been making gum balls as far as Boeing was concerned as long as they made money.

I suspect the same thing will happen here.

As far as flight attendant jokes...what do you call a flight attendant with a brain?

I try but I cannot get into Flyq. I find there are more keystrokes to put in a simple A to B flightplan that Foreflight.
I can put in a flightplan from the map page on Foreflight but can't seem to find that on Flyq.
I will give it more time. I do love the Geo Referenced plates and taxi maps in Flyq however.

At work yesterday, I downloaded the new Jeep Pro X. To my surprise, when loading the charts, you briefly see the “downloading” icon with the rectangle and arrows that FF uses. It’s exactly the same. The new layout also has a very FF feel to it. Interesting.

Both of those are in ForeFlight, as well. Very handy. On FF, the taxi diagram pops up sometime as the airplane slows to taxi speed--not sure exactly when, because when I glance down at my iPad Mini 4 after landing, the taxi diagram is already up.
