C180 crow hop - sprung gear?
Technical and practical discussion about specific aircraft types such as Cessna 180, Maule M7, et al. Please read and search carefully before posting, as many popular topics have already been discussed.
What would really be interesting-----get someone with a video camera off the side of the runway and land and let us watch. I'm very curious.

I am curious what size tires you are running and if the aircraft is STOL equipped. Smaller tires with high pressure can make for some bouncing landings. Also curious how it handles landing on grass? Could the gear have lost some of its function/elasticity ?

Sounds like you have checked the obvious. Bearings? Dragging disc? Strange tire wear/ balance? Maybe try another set of wheels?
I found a loose gearbox shim by rolling tire with my foot while holding a hand on the gear fuselage connection.

Agreed.
Can't imagine Beegles didn't but one never knows...
