C206 Airglas + nose tire

Hello guys,
I need and advice from you, I have a C206 with a Cessna HD nose fork and a 7.00 x 6 tire on the nose (the biggest size I can fit) and Goodyears 26" on the mains. In order to have a bigger clearance on the prop (because I operate on dirt airstrips) I just bought an Airglas fork kit to increase the size on the nose tire to 8.50" 6.

In Argentina the Goodyears 8.50 x 6 are out of stock and they are offering me the Aero Classic Tundra 22 x 8.50-6 4 Ply

The question is: can I use the Aero Classic as an option for the nose of my C206, or this tire is not designed for this kind of airplane? (I know they are used in the mains for lighter airplanes).

I do have four Goodyear 8.00 x 6 in my hangar, but I think the 8.50" is gonna be way better as the difference in height is quite significant (there is no much difference in between the 7.00 and the 8.00, but a lot in between the 8.00 and the 8.50)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: C206 Airglas + nose tire

Sorry for the very late reply, but I'm quite sure the aero classic 8.50 wont fit in the airglas fork, it is to fat and will rub. I also don't think I'd run a 4 ply tire on the nose of my 206...

8.50-6 will fit Airglas nose fork. The Tundra might be pushing it. I see some 8.50-6 6 ply Airtrac for sale Aircraft Spruce at a pretty good price. Goodyear might be hard to find.
If you intend to run the 8.50-6 make sure you install the fork with the nuts on top, bolt heads down. There is about 1/4” of spare room.

Yes I meant the tundra. I’ve been told by numerous people that it won’t fit.

Re: C206 Airglas + nose tire

I finally bought the Aero Classic Tundra 8.50-6 4 Ply but I did not receive it yet. I've been talking with Tim from Desser and he said it will fit in the Airglas and will work perfectly for the nose of the 206.
My type of flying is 99% off-airport so I think the smoothness of the wheel it will be a good thing. We'll see.
