I've talked with Pete, and he offered the car, but I don't want to tie it up. If I'm the only one there, no big deal, I can hitch. If others show up, we may set up a shuttle.

Turns out I know a guy :D

If anybody needs any assitance I will have my truck there the whole weekend. (unless we have another damn family reunion in Stanley that weekend-what a pain.)

Either way, my "job" makes me have to be there on Saturday afternoon.

I used to work for Pete. And Steve Cope was the one who taught me how to fly an airplane. Great people. I am not sure if he is still working for him or not, but that guy (Steve) knows how to fly a plane. Taught me more than I ever could have imagined. They had a 172 from Avcenter based there for the time I was learning to fly. I see it every now and then in Boise and Twin Falls when I fly in commercially. Good old N6486J.

There is some pretty good camping up Garden Creek if you go far enough. You can get up into the woods without too much trouble. Then again, if you are partaking in the good times you probably don't want to take that drive!

Anyone that may want some help let me know. You will probably have to PM me because my phone doesn't work in Challis. (that's a good thing) I get service everywhere else in the country but Verizon just can't do Challis.

Like I said, if you need a ride, I can try and give a hand....

As for me, I'll probably just camp on the field. I do have another friend that should be there also, with his plane. He will stay at the field too. I don't know of any others flying in, but I suspect as the time gets closer, others will want to go.
Thanks or the offer, and atleast stop by for a beer.

Would love to pop by for a beer. I am supposed to be staying at the Northgate Inn. But we shall see. It is always somewhat of a crapshoot when thousands of people descend upon a town of 900ish!

I am always up for a beer, by the way :D

Talk about a guy I would never second guess. He knows what he is doing big time. I have had in my lifetime had to see Bob Danner and Bob Plummer lose their lives. So unfortunate. I feel very much blessed (though I am not into religion) to have had Steve and Pete teach me how to how to fly a plane. Steve is probably about as good as it gets. Pete is too....
