Re: Cessna 140 Rejuvenation

Well, after a few months of 16 hour days in the hangar, sweat, and more money than I care to admit, the 140 is back in the air! Flew it yesterday morning while the air was still cool for proper engine break in. Happy to report the plane flew perfectly hands off as it did before the accident. There are a few very minor bugs to work out, but none that are safety concerns. All I have left to do to the plane is some interior upholstery work, and then im just gonna fly the hell out of it. 2.2 hours on the tach, and many more to come! Happy to have my little 140 back in the air once again.

Thanks Zane! Happy to finally have a flying product to show after all the work spent wrenching.

Re: Cessna 140 Rejuvenation

Thank you for doing this. It's great to see you reunite with your old bent bird and making her right and whole again. I learned to fly in my 140 back in 07, still such a joy to fly.

I really appreciate all the restoration threads with guys pouring their love, labor and resources restoring these tired old birds into such beautiful and useful machines. It inspires me to be a better caretaker of our planes.
