Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Cessna 172 Backcountry Edition

Hi all.

Just purchased a C172P from 1981, and are about ready to start modifications, so it can become a real aircraft ;-)
Sportsmand Stolkit, VG´s, Airglas nose wheel fork, and bigger tires is so far what i am aiming at.
Thinking 8,50 x 6 for nose wheel, and somewhere between 26-29" for mains...

any good suggestions on wheel/tire combo.

Regards René / Greenland

No suggestions but can't wait to see this come together. Good luck with the project and post pics when you can!

Re: Cessna 172 Backcountry Edition

Will be challenging to get the most out of those electric flaps.
I’m sure you will figure it out.
Probably won’t pay off to get too deep with the expense of massive tires.
