I sent it to the airbox doc and it came back great. Unfortunately, my 30 year old O470-JCR ran out of legs. So I have the recenlty rebuilt airbox waiting to be sold when I complete the big project, which is a zero time northpoint xp-4 70-50, seaplanes west mount, new selkirk cowling, and new carb and newer style airbox. Once I'm back in the air, I'll resell all my like-new parts - rebuilt airbox and knisely exhaust with about 50 hours on it. I'm going to hold on to my original cowling I think.... not entirely sure why but will just wait and see how that goes.

Does anyone have the parts breakdown for the early model airbox? Specifically, what part numbers make up the 0750111 airbox that fits serial numbers 30000-32150 1953-1954ish. I think it should be something like 0750111-2 etc

That would be the 1953-55 model, with the "shark mouth" induction air inlet..
Page 202 in the early 180 IPC has the drawing, pages 203 & 204 have the part numbers.
If you don't have an IPC, DM me your address & I'll scan these pages & email them to you.

I appreciate it, yes, that is the airbox I am referring to. I am looking for the parts breakdown of the actual airbox. In other words, when Cessna built the airbox it used part #……for the left side metal piece, and part # ………. For the top skin. The normal IBP doesnt appear to have that data.

It doesn't matter if you have the part numbers. I called Textron myself 3 years ago and they told me there is no possibility to get a new or any parts for the 53-55 airbox. Cessna destroyed the jigs and will no longer make the parts so you are on your own to fabricate replacements or send it to the airbox doc guy. That's what I did. 3 months later I bought a northpoint xp470-50 and still have my old '55 airbox just rebuilt sitting on the shelf. I will list it for sale when I come up for air after breaking in this new engine.

Several years ago, someone who used to post on here rebuilt his early airbox himself.
I dunno what else he had to get, but he told me he bought the top skin from Cessna-- actually, it was probably Yingling.
You might try giving them a call.
Or maybe that guy will pipe up, if he's still on board here.

I was “that guy”; I apparently bought the last upper skin in 2018 for $780 and used it to repair my air box (page 2 in this thread). So far, knock on wood, it’s holding up just fine. If I had to fix one now, I’d see if I could fabricate what’s needed, and if not, I’d call the folks listed above.
