Cessna 180H factory equipment list
Technical and practical discussion about specific aircraft types such as Cessna 180, Maule M7, et al. Please read and search carefully before posting, as many popular topics have already been discussed.
With all the discussion about W&B inaccuracies going on lately, I've been looking over my own aircraft. Unfortunately, I only have W&B data going back to the last time it was actually on scales. It would be nice to have a copy of a factory weight and balance with equipment 'as installed' (with arms & weights). Does anyone have a copy they could scan and email/pm/post? It's for a '65 180H, but I'm sure any vintage 180H would be close enough for my purposes.
Thanks,
Chris

Do you not have an up to date and current equipment list, done at the time it was weighed? If not, you need to make one.

I've got the equipment list created when the aircraft was last weighed, but i'm looking for a sample of the original factory list.

Hi,
I am trying to register a 67 180H from Zimbabwe in South Africa - now the CAA asks for original equipment list - could you send me a copy ?
Thanks in advance

And, bear in mind that the original equipment list is simply a list of all optional equipment available. Every airplane was built with the specific equipment it came out of the factory with.
There’s a requirement in the FAR for an up to date equipment list, but it doesn’t have to be the “original” list. Many of these airplanes have been so heavily modified with stuff that was never available from Cessna that a copy of a blank factory equipment list may not be real useful.
I’ve owned two planes that didn’t have current (or any) equipment lists, so we made new ones.

Fully aware - it‘s not me cooking this up - that’s our CAA here .. they want the original equipment list and all changes from there in the logs .. I gave up applying logic and reason with them ..
Was chasing 50year old logs in Zimbabwe the whole week - and found them - now I just need that frikken equipment list ..
Would be lovely if somebody could make one available

I'd be glad to photocopy mine and send it to you,
but since it's a 1953 model it probably won't do you any good.
Might give you a template for making one up for yours though.

Hi Daniel. I just sent scans of my 1969 Cessna 180H equipment list and original equipment list and weight and balance to Zane to be included in the knowledge base. If these are not what your CAA wants because they are not for your specific aircraft then you may have some luck by contacting the parts department at Yingling Aviation in Witchita KA (
www.cessnadirect.com ). they may be able to order the documents that you need from Cessna.
