Cessna 182R nose wheel 337

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Cessna 182R nose wheel 337

I’ve been searching thru the forums to find options for installing a larger nose fork on Cessna 182 Q or R model. I’m aware of the Landis option but prefer to go with 6.0x6 tire size and prefer to use a 182HD, 206 or ? Fork. Local FSDO has indicated they would approve if I could find someone that has already done this modification.

Anyone done this and willing to share their 337? Anyone confirm the correct part number or casting number that would be needed for the Cessna 182 Q or R model?

Thanks for any help getting my plane ready for some backcountry flying!

Isn’t MotoDave running this setup?

I know, I know.

Edit: search option on here is a wealth of knowledge.

Re: Cessna 182R nose wheel 337

Thanks for the link, but FSDO said it specifically had to be relevant serial number between an existing 337 and my airplane. Thus most likely a Q or R model.

Pretty sure that his plane was optional with a 600x 6 on the nose. Log book entry for him.

Cessna Pilots Association used to have a file full of 337's for these planes. Not sure where Marion is. I bet if you call mechanic shop in Mc Call, ID they can get it done.
