Cessna 185 cab end of wing strut and landing gear Fairings
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
Hey Guys, I have seen 2 different versions of fairings at the cab end of the wing strut/landing gear junction. One that is all one piece and one that is 2 pieces being a fairing on the cab end landing gear and one on the cab end of the wing strut. Does anyone have any info on these options? I am really leaning toward a single piece option if anyone has details. It really does not look like the stene or mcfarlane options are really made for skywagon needs in this location.
Thanks,
Gypsy

Are you saying you’ve seen a main gear leg to fuselage fairing and the wing strut to fuselage fairing somehow combined into a single unit? I’ve never seen such a thing and can’t imagine what the advantage would be. If I’ve misunderstood your meaning then I apologize.
I know that Knots 2 U (K2U) make a lovely set of removable wing strut fairings and there may be other players in the market too.

Yes,
It was one unit split in two places rather than two over lapping like the knots2you.

Do you have a link or a picture of this combined wings strut and landing gear fairing? I've also never heard of anything like that (not that it does not exist), I'm curious to what it actually looks like.

Maybe he is referring to the Snider fairing. I take it by "cab" OP means 'cabin'? Never knew my plane had a cab.
