Cessna 185 Skywagon To be Sold again in 2021
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
Apparently the Chinese investment group Feng Ru has purchased the type certificate of the iconic Skywagon and has plans to bring to the bird back to market in the fall of 2021. The are calling it the RU185A. Looks like it will be powered with Continentals diesel motor and come standard with four skylites, float kit, v brace, a loading door like the 206, and a longer wing based on the WIngX design. The article is vague, but looks like the non pressurized version will be in the $750k range.
Exciting news!

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!
I'm holding out for a pressurized version.

I preferred your April fools joke from last year. You guys really had me with the electric flaps and nose wheel conversion. Those were things my inexperienced self wanted before I even touched my first tail wheel airplane. Boy how times have changed!
