Cessna abrasion boots install.
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?
I bought the Cessna abrasion boots, but they are straight.
For pilots who have installed the Cessna abrasion boots on the 170 horizontal stab, what is the trick to make a smooth look on the round areas of the stab?

I don't use heat, just a helper for an extra set of hands. Excellent results. Prep with MEK and bond with 3M contact adhesive (1357?). Last application held up for over a decade. Personally I'd be cautious of too much heat degrading the 3M contact adhesive. Leave long on the outboard side of the stab and trim once adhesive is fully cured. Some blue tape on hand for good measure.
