CESSNA HEATER OUTLET

The heater outlet area on my 172 is a mess from boots and such . Does anyone have a magic fix or??
Just thinking I am not the first to have this happen and maybe someone had found a simple fix.

Re: CESSNA HEATER OUTLET

Not a simple fix, but while re-installing my 182 interior, and wondering the same problem, I came across one solution. Read page 46 of this;
https://airmod.com/wp-content/uploads/2 ... pr2007.pdf

It recommends moving the outlet 2” back ( in this case meaning forward) from the door opening, while redoing the kickpanels. Supposedly makes them less kick-prone.

Thanks PNW Flyer. Really good read, never thought of moving them ahead.
