Anyone any a rough ballpark on what it would cost to ship a plane from Anchorage to Seattle or Portland via a shipping container?

Use a broker. My costs are always retail divided by roughly two with a broker.
You can build the pallet and use a forklift to back it out of the container, set one end on the ground, and sling the second end down with the forklift after the truck pulls ahead 10 feet. I like using LVL's for the long pallets...strong and cheap.
The operation can take a half hour or less.
Btw, sea ship is easily the toughest way to ship. OTR damage is generally less punishing. If you can build in some plastic foam into the pallet in the skids, it can save some tears.

Call Lynden Transport for a price. Leave the brokers out of it. You’ll get better service working directly with the trucking company. Loading and securing will be the challenge to mitigate against damage.

Some thoughts on packing the container.
I rented a 15’ box truck with an electric lift gate. I filled up the box truck, backed it up to the container, and hand carried all the loose stuff. The gate did not come up to the height of the container, so rolling in palletized stuff would not have worked.
For the fuselage, I had a local towing company come over with a rollback wrecker. We use his winch to pull the fuselage up onto the bed. He was able to raise the bed to the height of the container floor, and we rolled the fuselage right into the container.
The total loading time was 2 hours 15 minutes. I used four laborers and myself (and the laborers did 90% of the loading).

I did this directly through pasha Hawaii with no broker. Disassembled the plane myself, packed the container myself, and reassembled myself. Total cost for the container (20') was 4800. Between alaska and seattle should theoretically be cheaper... good luck!

I just shipped an entire household from Wasilla to Wenatchee. I called Minn-Alaska transport, they dropped of a 53' semi trailer, I had a week to fill it, then $2.95 a mile to wherever I wanted it to go.
My bearhawk wings went down in the trailer, but the fuse went through with in my car hauler.
There are a few options....
