Control column change

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Control column change

I will be having a goal post type control column installed on my 1956 180 under a field approval. The aileron cables will need to be changed. I am hoping they will be shorter so the existing ones can be used by cutting and swedging new ends. What is involved in removing and reinstalling these cables? Is it a straight forward
process or is it difficult to do because of lack of access to the pulleys, etc. does anyone know if McFarlane already has the dimensions?
Thanks

Re: Control column change

So this mod was done to my airplane as a minor alteration. Trying to get an annual done has been, interesting.

If I recall correctly, my aileron cables were swapped out for the cables that would have come out of the same year airplane as the control column was taken from.

You get your field approvals yet?
