Denver TFR's Sat 9-1-12

Good lord.

The Denver area will be shut down in the most confusing array of TFR's I've seen to date around here form tomorrow evening through the middle of the afternoon into Sunday.

This is getting insane. It's Labor Freaking Day Weekend. Don't people have a freaking life more important than going to see someone beg for their vote for the second time this summer?

This will be his second visit to Boulder in particular this year. We were going to take aerial photos for a person's new home in the morning and head to Steamboat for the airshow. The photos are definitely off. And given the fact they didn't let me pierce the TFR last time I tried to get home (with a VFR plan and squawk), I can't plan on coming back on Sunday morning, so I am faced with cancelling the entire weekend.

When did Boulder become so special? It's the last place anyone in the area should want to be this weekend.

Only 7 or 8 states are left up for grabs as swing states and both parties know they will fill the empty chair. Colorado is one of them. You will get a lot of attention till November. By December the chair won't remember your name. They don't remember ours now.

Ha ha... good thing for Idaho that it is sewed up for Romney, we won't get any visits is my guess as we're a lost cause. :D

Boulder has been special for a long time. I'm staycationing this weekend - and loving it. To each their own. :P

I agree with you though. Everyone in Boulder is voting for Obama anyway - he should be out in Ft. Morgan and LaJunta and Grand Junction and Co. Springs and Pueblo. It's a swing state. I'm frankly surprised that Mittens isn't spending more energy here.

I know it's really inconvenient - you could return to Ft. Love - which is just outside the 30nm ring. I didn't study the TFR closely but I think it lifts at 3PM mountain - probably just in time for the afternoon storms. ;-(

I'm glad it's this weekend and not next. That would poop on our Marble party.
