I love the sound of pork chops, but I've never seen the term used in regard to floats. What is it?

It's a "term of endearment" that roughly describes the shape of the two forward fuselage fittings that are substituted for the gear legs when floats are installed on various Cessna's. I'm still experimenting with how to best prepare it for the BBQ !!!

The pork chops and aft external float blocks are part of the float installation, and should come with the floats, not stay with the plane. If you bought a set of floats and didn’t receive the pork chops and aft blocks, I’d be calling up the person who sold me the floats and demanding they hand over ALL the float rigging.
If you bought just float barrels and are looking for rigging, I’d keep looking for the correct pieces. The pork chops MIGHT work, but I’d bet they won’t be quite right, and maybe not even close.
