Fantastic hot and high performance. Soloy converted th Hiller 12 to the same engine/gearbox and one of those was the first helicopter to land on the top of Mt McKinley, Buddy Woods at the controls.

whee wrote:These had turbo Lycoming engines for sure; data plate was dirty and out of reach so I couldn't read it but I saw the turbo and the valve covers said lycoming. It did have plug wires so it had to be a gas engine.
