Driving Sacramento to Roseburg this weekend

My wife is a trooper is when she travels with me. I don't screw around on the road and usually make good time. We have a 4 month old daughter now though...driving to Idaho in April...It's going to take every ounce of patience I can muster when that trip takes us double the time and were stopping every 20 miles. Someone suggested I leave at bedtime and drive all night so the baby stays asleep.

Floyd!!! I think you and Sue need to adopt a couple of 6 month old orphans from Haiti, so you'll have empathy for what this poor guy's gonna go through. Holy Crap. Think I'd change my name and move to Idaho.

:lol: :lol: That's funny!! When I was a kid, one of my friends dad used to do that all the time. Come Friday night after school, work, and dinner, he'd load up the kids and head off on a camping trip/road trip at night while all the kids were in the back sleeping.

I find that funny, because I was just talking to an old friend about the good old days a couple weeks ago and that came up.

The only way to travel with kids. Trust me. I'm an expert in these matters. Got a 4, 3, and 1 1/2 yr old. They actually travel pretty well most days. They always travel well at night. :D

Well if he would have said the first time he was bringing kids then I would have told him about soaking the Wheaties in Vodka before they left.
Always works..........

Funny my kids never complained much when we travelled. And I never stopped before planned stops....come to think of it neither did my mom and dad.
