D=RT never fails. Most calculations for fuel and range are as simple.
The only stuff I still use E6B for is TAS and DA. Those just don't distill down into a simple easy-to-remember equation.

No kidding. I just started learning to use my E6B this past weekend, only for the non-simple (TAS, DA) stuff. I did almost all the rate, fuel, and range calculations with my pocket calculator (or the really easy ones in my head) - didn't even think to use the E6B. Of course, now I can just leave the calculator out of my flight bag or know what to do if I forget it (E6B lives in bag, HP 35S does not).
