EarthX Lithium Batteries has more STC's approved!

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Work 185 with 550 has one. Spins like crazy while starting, never seen anything like it.

If they ever actually get around to offering a 170 STC, please put it in its own thread in all caps so I know to actually bother clicking on it.

EarthX will email you directly if you send them your airplane info. From their website:

"If you send us an email to [email protected] of your aircraft (12V or 24V, Manufacturer, Model) we will reach out to you as soon as we receive the STC for your aircraft. Please put in the subject line if it is a 12V or 24V aircraft, the model and make. Example: 24V C172B or 12V C150A."

I would like to install the EarthX in my 1954 180 with the Atlee firewall battery box for the Hawk battery. I have the new battery, vent kit and indicator. Does anyone have a recommendation for routing the vent tube. It shouldn’t require a hole or grommet. Probably exit aft of the cowl flaps. It doesn’t vent unless it becomes overcharged which to my thinking would be in the event of a voltage regulator failure. I have annunciations for engine and electrical failure so my reasoning is to deselect the alternator and activate pitot heat and landing lights. But I am no expert on such things
