EDM 900/930 install on a 470, 182A
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?

Skimming through the manual it looks like the kit from JPI is not 100% complete to make the install happen.
Anybody put a jpi system on a continental and have a good round up of what you did for mounting up the Oil Pressure sender(size fittings, length of lines)?? The other thing was capping off the Mechanical tach but I think I have that covered with a cap from spruce.
Thanks!!

I installed an edm 930 primary on a customers extra 400. (It had the liquid cooled tsiol-550 engine) very straight forward install. I installed pressure transducers with lines and mounted them on the engine mount. Came out very nice. I plan on installing the same on my c182 very soon so I can get away from all of the original gauges and clean up the panel. Very easy to change settings on non primary gauges. Primary settings are set up at Jpi.

keep them flying!
I wouldn't see any big problems with JPI -a little overkill .

I've done it on a '58 182B. Simple and straight forward install. I used a 45 degree steel AN -4x1/8" NPT out of the engine and fabricated oil lines from there back to the FW mounted transducer. Its a bit tight up under the intake manifold getting to the fitting but it can be done.
