EDO 2960 rigging for a 182P
Information and discussion about seaplanes, float planes, and water operations.
Hi!
I'm looking to put some EDO 2960 floats on a 182P with a Seaplanes West Float Kit. I found some floats that I'm looking at with rigging for a 180. Talking to Seaplanes West, I was told the conversation from the 180 rigging to the 182 rigging requires the front struts to be moved to the back, the rear struts moved to the front and modified, and new diagonals. The problem is that I can't get hold of anyone at Seaplanes West that has the drawings to do the modification. Does anyone have these drawings, or know someone that's done this, or know anyone that is selling 2960 rigging for a 182? I'll even consider used aerocet 3500 with 182 rigging.
Thanks for any help or advice!

You want to talk to Paul Gryko at Acorn Welding now Hartzell (1-780-447-5955 Ext 1101).
Somewhere I have the drawings, if you get desperate I should be able to find them, they're at another location that I don't get to often.
It's not a super hard job but access to a milling machine makes it a lot easier.
With the current situation it may be easier to get some raw extrusion from Aerocet or Kenmore and make your longer diagonals as an owner produced part, vs. shipping SPW struts out of Edmonton.
If you can step up to a pair of Aerocet floats you'll have more fun operating that thing.

Hi! Thanks for the lead. Do you know if those 3500L Aerocet Floats are still for sale?
