Emma Hill song: A Pilot's Goodbye

Emma Hill is playing right now on Fairbanks Public Radio, KUAC 89.9. Love the words and melody of A Pilot's Goodbye.

She's from Sleetmute, and the song is a tribute to her uncle, Steve Hill, who some here probably remember.

There's a good version on iTunes. Here's on older video that I found online:

I think something's wrong with my glasses--fogging over. Happens each time I see a missing man formation, too. My Dad burrowed in, in a P-51 flying with the Wyoming Air Guard, 65 years ago next month. Somehow, losing him although I was just a toddler has always influenced my life.

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.
