My dad tells stories of his interactions with the EI people vs the JPI people. I think we all know how that goes.

I've called EI a couple times regarding a US8-A with a funky oil temp reading, and I've been nothing but thrilled with their willingness to help. This is a company I'm happy to support.

I ran an Edm 700 on a T207 flying skydivers for about 500hrs.Mandatory equipment if you ask me.(Since It was my plane)I have one on my 57 180 and still feel the same way. Engines cost alot of$ and anything that gives you an overall view of whats going on inside of it without having to really think too much is ,in my opinion, the way to go.As far as what kind to get?I think they will all tell you cht and egt without getting to tech on the whole thing.

Just talked to a fellow up in Bend today. Looks like it will be the UBG-16 and an FP-5 for the 182 when I finally retrieve it. Decided not to get the fuel flow in the 16 cus it does not total it for you.
He said that with the rebates they have going and the hefty BCP discount at Chief, I will almost get for free. Well not quite.
He said that Chief has a demo set up for the UBC-16. Think I will drive up there Monday afternoon to check it out.
