Engine weight 470v520

Does anyone know the actual real weight difference between a 470 and a heavy case 520?

I have found that the O-470 around 430lbs and the IO-520 at 470lbs. Just quick search.

Steve Knopp says about 35 lbs for the big case or 12-15lbs for the bigger cylinders in an 0470 core = 0470-50. I used my old core as it was good to go.

For some reason I could not copy paste this so I'll try a pic.
Looks like there is close to 30lbs difference in just the O-470 series.

Not enough to make a heckuva difference--that's what one mechanic said to me.

Thanks guys. Didn't realize so much difference in just the 470's even! I know it's not much difference but when your trying to stay light, 30-50 lbs n a motor, 10-30 on prop variations is a lot to me on the nose. All of it is not much if its all by itself. (; thanks guys.

Does that mean then about 50lbs for 520 heavy case? Cause that is what you have right?? Saw you had the humpback case.
