This is all been excellent reading and a lot of opinions but the bottom line I think is.

There are foxes in the hen house

You can fight any federal or state action if you have enough money

Most of us don't have enough money, I spent most of mine on beer and airplanes. I think the rest just got wasted.

So when they decided to take my ticket for several years for flying out victims of a catostrofic event in instument weather with no instrument rating in an aircraft I didnt own.
And I refuse to pay some high dollar attorney to explain why that was the right thing to do.
Will there be a special place for those that have to account for there actions.

I fly so much safer now just thinking about it.

No one is saying that. It would be nice if people could articulate their ideas - or their displeasure about someone else's - without murdering the messenger, for a change. I guess I am an optimist

I hope you don't think I was trying to shut Gump up. Quit the contrary as I made obvious in my follow up post. I was just making a itsy bitsy jest as usually Gump is a man of few words.

Well, if they already skinned you alive over it, you might as well tell the story.

I'm not sure if the FAA recognizes the 5th Amendment of the United States Constitution...

With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

Hi James,
Like most of us I value my own opinion. One man's opinion, however; doesn't represent that of an entire group. Most people who read these threads seldom make a post. But they read it because they enjoy the content. The content in this forum has room for all aspects of aviation, including the opinions and thoughts of an FAA employed back country pilot like yourself.

I've had unfavorable experiences with the police, the highway patrol, the IRS, Customs, and the FAA. But that doesn't mean that every person that works in these agencies is of the same mind set as the ones that I had trouble with. Same here, a few peoples comments don't represent the whole. I for one would like to hear what you have to say. Don't bow out so easily.

Buckle up and partake in these discussions. Your perspective, both personal and professional is welcome.

Reading back over the posts I can see that you have a rather thin skin James... If you can't take a few of the comments I've made and others have made then maybe you SHOULD bow out... I mean In my circle of As

hole's that's mild treatment..

Do you guy's REALLY think an "accident investigator" from the FAA would come on an internet site, announce themselves as such and talk about something that is under investigation?

You interested in real estate? How about a bridge?

This has turned into something that is not good. Let's get back to the Golden Rule concept mentioned in the newbies guide or lets lock this thread.
