Short walk from transient parking. Turn left out of gate go to the end and turn right. 1/4 mile or so on right.
Tried this one today. Out of business as of a couple weeks ago. A day (or several) late & a buck short, again.....

The house lobster roll at the on-field Cafe at 7B3 -- Hampton Field, on the New Hampshire sea coast. Beautiful grass strip, primary instruction in J-3 cubs, etc. Nice porch to sit on and watch the planes.
The burgers at Basin Harbor, Vermont. (B06) Another gorgeous grass strip on the water.

Carroll County (TSO) is tied with Urbana-Grimes (I74) for the best pies in Ohio, and maybe the whole country. I have never had better pies anywhere, then at these two places, and they just happen to be at airports. The rest of their food is good too.
I second TSO in Ohio. I just visited family there last week for a couple of days and enjoyed a couple of pies (blueberry and strawberry rubarb). Great breakfast as well.

Brett, you should have contacted me. We could have done some local hill side flying! Where In Louisiana are you? We have a place in New Orleans, and go down for the Jazz Fest every year.

Patrol Guy,
My family and I were on vacation in the mountains of western NC and made the unplanned trip up to OH. First time there for me, and my wifes first trip back there in 15 years. I'm out of Deridder, LA now (KDRI) while I'm stationed at Fort Polk. Hope to return to either Anchorage or Fairbanks in about three years.
My wife and I are looking into a vacation home for us and some of our extended family in Carrol County. Sure was a beautiful area. Thank you for the offer. I will certainly contact you when we come back up.
Brett
