Favorite lock blade pocket knife?

While not directly aviation-related, survival and basic wilderness skills, sometimes called "bush craft" are an important part of flying the remote backcountry.

I've been a fan of ZT flippers too! Since you need a blade under 3 inches, you might want to check out the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 or the Benchmade Mini Griptilian. Both are compact and well-suited for daily carry with shorter blades. They’re reliable and durable, perfect for a more discreet carry.

Re: Favorite lock blade pocket knife?

About eight years ago, I was admiring a Triple Ought Design Dauntless titanium folder at the overland expo here in Flagpole. … at the time I would not buy one because they were about $500, and I thought that was way too expensive for a pocket knife, but my wife had snuck back there, and guess what I got for Christmas.

I have used this knife as a tool, abused it and it is amazing to me that there is zero wiggle or free play, Even though I have a shop full of all kinds of electrical do dads that cost much more, if I had to choose one tool to keep out of the hundreds, that I own, there’s no question this would be it:
