Montague ignored the ebike thing at first, but like many other companies have now embraced it and now offer their own version, using their proven frameworks.

After a lot of thought on building my own with a Bafang, I just went out and bought a production eMTB.
Absolutely stoked, this thing is so much fun. Fits in the plane easily with the front wheel off. May consider a second battery pack for longer trips camping out of the plane.

Unless you’re flying something big, even the folding bikes take a good bit of real estate.
Buddy of mine has one of those one wheels, seems to like it and it’s performance is impressive, but $$

Commencal makes great bikes. I owned a dirt jumper that was really nice, great geometry and welds. From Andorra in Europe IIRC but probably welded in Taiwan by the masters with the rest of the production bicycles. Great designs.

They look like a lot of fun, and all the Cool Kids have them. I want one pretty badly. But once you’re over about 40, it takes a long time for a broken wrist to heal — if it ever does!
