Field Approval for front fork

Does anyone have a field approval for a larger fork on a 1958 C182? As in a heavy duty Cessna fork, a 310, 205, 206, etc. fork? I’m looking to just install a 6:00x6 nose wheel and tire and 8:00x6’s on the mains. If so, maybe I could talk you out of a copy and do a “follow-on” approval. Thanks very much!

That may be difficult to get FA even with paperwork if an STC'd version is available such as the Airglas version. FAA doesn't seem to like doing FAif STC is available.

Got a FA for a 310 fork in 3 weeks. Yep...I was amazed.

I don’t have them yet. The mechanic who got it is in McCall and I’m going up on 08/09 to have the fork and new tires installed. I’ll send that off after I get back.

What is way more important than the docs is a Fed that will play ball. There is one in Boise but if he retires or moves it may be hard again to get one approved.
